Dining
Mount Mitchell Golf Resort is pleased to welcome back Chef Teo as head chef. In addition to bringing his unique culinary style, he will be expanding bar and dining hours. Enjoy great views of the course and Mt. Mitchell in Hawtree's Pub where you can relax after a round with your favorite beverage.

Climate
From early April to mid November our climate is just about ideal. Normal summertime morning temperatures range between 55 and 60 degrees. Daytime temperatures hover around 80. Our spring and fall weather requires a sweater till mid morning. This mild climate produces blooming wild flowers from March to November. It has been said that this is where springtime spends the summer.

 

Shopping
Shoppers will be delighted by the unique local shops in downtown Burnsville. Local craftsmen produce some of the finest glassware, woven goods, wood products and pottery in the country.

Activities
In addition to golf on our 18 hole course, thClick for larger picturee fisherman will be delighted with the South Toe River that runs through the development and course. It is brimming with trophy native brown and rainbow trout. Fishing guide service available for individuals or groups.  Permits are available for guests to purchase.  Trail hiking, tennis, gemstone mining and excellent summer stock theatre offers a variety of "things to do."
